Hometown Hero: Jason D. Ellis & Juan F. Fernandez

Hi, I would like to honor my two sons, Spc. Jason D. Ellis and Spc. Juan F. Fernandez. They are both 21 and celebrated their birthdays, in the Middle east (Qatar), far away from their loved ones. They were deployed in October 2003. They left the states Feb. 9th from Fort Dix, New Jersey. They are serving with the 109th Army National Guard, Battery A. They are local boys  who live In W-B. Their education is on hold like so many others deployed. It is very tough without them here. Holidays and special times just aren't the same, but this is what they wanted to do and they do their jobs with pride. They are my heroes in so many ways. Thank you for honoring our hometown solders. May all the soldiers come home safe.  I always have a candle burning on my mantle 'till they return home then they can blow out the flame.
